Mentoring

I’ve been involved with the Fox/Hamilton Mentoring program since the beginning. I think it’s been like 10 years. We started out with a one on one mentoring and I had the pleasure of partnering with Katie Thiroux. Katie is an aweseome bass player and singer and she has blossomed into a lovely young woman.
Every year there’s a different group of Juniors who attend the Hamilton Academy of Music. They are all just great kids who are talented and eager. It’s been a real pleasure over the years to see that there is hope that the younger generation will be smart, assertive, creative and caring.
This past week the group from this year came to the Fox lot to watch Ed Shearmur score DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODERICK RULES.
I highly recommend getting involved with mentoring program. It’s great exposure for kids to see people other than their parents and teachers in a professional environment. Plus it’s great for us mentors to see there’s hope for the future.
